#1 Laptop Server not allowing inbound connections

Postby Mongoose » Thu Jun 05, 2014 10:24 am

Im trying to get our server back up but my server isnt allowing inbound connections. All GTR2 related ports are forwarded right, but any time I check them with an online website or program running on the desktop, it times out. Anytime anyone connects its the usual grayed out name, then return to available choices, but the game is visible in the lobby. Anybody out there think they can help out?

Turns out it was the way things are set up over here. We have a modem/router that the ISP gave us that we have to use as a router no matter what, which I guess really in a sense that thats all a modem is, but anyway, we have out own router behind it because mom didnt want to deal with changing all the network stuff. I put the router in DMZ for the ISP router/modem and then the server computer in DMZ from the router. As you have noticed, all is well now.
